Our Mission
Make Disciples and Make Much of Jesus.
The risen Lord Jesus gave us this mission in Matthew 28:18-20 . . .
"All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
From the preaching and the songs we sing to kids, students, and life groups; from passing out bulletins to studying God's word together in classes; our goal is to make disciples, grow as disciples, and make much of Jesus.
We want Jesus to be the most recognizable person at Redeemer. We desire his name to be our passion. We want the glory of Jesus to drive planting churches and going to the nations. Jesus is why we love our neighbors. He is our living hope.
We don't want our church to be primarily known for its preaching style or music, its theology or facility. We want to be known as the people who make much of Jesus, who put him first, and who rely on him for all things, and invite fellow sinners to enjoy his mercy.
Our Vision
A family of disciples treasuring the gospel of Jesus, living the way of Jesus, and proclaiming the hope of Jesus to northwest Houston and beyond.
If we labor towards our mission of making disciples and making much of Jesus, committing ourselves to being centered on the gospel, we pray God might bring this vision to reality.
By His grace, this means our members will love Jesus, do acts of mercy, and plant churches. Ultimately, we will live as missionaries in our workplaces, neighborhoods, gyms, and kids' soccer fields - sharing the hope of Jesus in eery sphere we inhabit.
"We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. I labor for this, striving with his strength that works powerfully in me. " - Colossians 1:28-29
Our Values
Our Elders have identified four defining biblical characteristics of the Redeemer family. Though we have not arrived by an means, we believe this is who God is making us as these values shape life and ministry within our church.
