Latest Coronavirus Update

Redeemer Family,

As you likely heard, earlier this week, President Trump and the CDC made the recommendation that no unnecessary gatherings occur, nationwide, of more than 10 people. So in accordance with their recommendation, we have suspended all of our public gatherings between now and the end of the month. Though it appears this could last further, we will wait to make more updates until April gets nearer.

As we seek to transfer much of the ministry of our church to online gatherings, we are so encouraged to hear of how you are ministering to one another already. We hope to continue worshiping, fellowshipping, & serving one another going forward, even as we can’t be together in person. Here is how that will happen:

1. Sunday Morning services & children’s teaching will occur online.

WORSHIP: We will worship together as a church via a livestream at 10am each week (see link below).
You will be able to talk with others who are watching online as well. There will be a direct link, though you can also watch through Facebook or Youtube.

COMMUNION: Additionally, we will take communion together during the livestream. We would encourage you to prepare beforehand by gathering bread or crackers, along with juice or wine from your house. We will take the meal together as we usually do on Sundays. Families, take this opportunity to serve the elements to one another.

CHILDREN: Additionally, our children will have lessons available online as well. Our wonderful RedeemerKids teachers are preparing lessons for you to watch, before or after worship, with your kids. We will also be sharing other resources, coloring sheets, etc.

For detailed info about online services, we will keep updated info on the website here:https://www.makingmuchofjesus.org/worshiponline

2. Redeemer Student Ministry (RSM) online gatherings
RSM had their first online gathering last night. What a cool thing to see them learning about Jesus in such a unique way together! For more information about having your student (7th-12th grade) join these online teaching times, go to the student page for updated info:
https://www.makingmuchofjesus.org/student-ministry

3. Elder Prayer Gatherings
Our Elders will be leading smaller prayer gatherings with their member shepherding groups online. For updated information about these prayer gatherings, click here: https://www.makingmuchofjesus.org/worshiponline.

4. Free Online Resources For Personal or Family Discipleship!:
As this season of limited mobility continues, consider how you might best use the time for growing closer to the Lord and leading your family to do the same. With the time you might normally be going to soccer practice, restaurants, or other social activities... consider these free resources as a means to dwell on the Lord together as a family in this season: https://www.makingmuchofjesus.org/online-discipleship-resources

5. Giving & Sharing Needs

Several of you have already worked to move your giving to our online platform. This will help all of us continue giving faithfully during this strange season. If you haven’t done this already, you can do so here: https://redeemertomball.churchcenter.com/giving.

However, we also know that for some of you, this season may become a difficult one financially. Some of you may even be out of work. If you have needs, whether physical or financial, please reach out and let us know (email carolyn@makingmuchofjesus.org). The church family is called to care for each other's needs. We would love to help.

6. Adult Bible Studies & Missional Communities
Adult Bible Studies and Missional Communities are each determining how they will continue at this time. Obviously, no in-person meetings will be happening. Stay tuned for ongoing info from your MC or Bible Study Leader.

7. Lastly, let's commit to seeking the Lord in prayer -- for our city, for those who are sick, and for Jesus to be made much of in all of this. As you are fearful or tired, may we trust the Lord by presenting him with every burden and every anxious thought. He is with us.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:4-7

If you have further questions or ideas about how we should navigate this season together, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can reply to this email or each out to any of the elders or staff: https://www.makingmuchofjesus.org/leadership.

Soli Deo Gloria,

The Redeemer Elders
