"I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly" - John 10:10

Scripture gives a beautiful example of what this abundant life looks like in Acts 2:42-47. Here we see that abundant life is only found in Christ and best lived out within Christian community. Redeemer Life Groups are based on the four practices found in this text.

Study

"They devoted themselves to the apostle's teaching." (vs 42)

Abundant life flourishes when followers of Christ come together to study the Word of God.

Fellowship

"And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts." (vs 46)

God did not design us to live in isolation. He created us for community, to "weep with those who weep, and rejoice with those who rejoice.

Prayer

"They devoted themselves to...the prayers." (vs 42)

Communal prayer is an essential and time-honored element of Christian community. Many times in the New Testament, we read when someone entered a house of fellow disciples, they found them praying together.

Mission

"And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need." (vs 45)

A group of believers that come together to love and serve each other is good, but a group that comes together to love and serve their community and neighbors is divine!
