OrphanCare

Redeemer Orphan Care exists to mobilize the church to care for vulnerable children by supporting existing foster/adoptive families, equipping new foster/adoptive families, and helping each member of the church find a way to obey God's command. We believe that every believer is called by God to care for the most vulnerable in their community: ("Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained from the world." James 1:27).

We acknowledge Orphan Sunday every year to remind our church of our responsibility as Christ's hands and feet to our broken world. We utilize CarePortal to help connect us to local families in need, and collaborate with Fostering Family to work with area churches, organizations and agencies to strategically solve the foster care crisis in Harris County.

Our monthly meetings are for foster and adoptive families to share prayer needs, for us to pray for those needs. Anyone is free to join the meetings, not just foster and adoptive families! We currently meet the last Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:30 PM. Childcare is provided.
