RedeemerKids exists to see the gospel transform the next generation. Our goal is to partner with parents to help their children know and follow Jesus Christ by:
• Teaching children the Gospel of Jesus, not just moral lessons.
• Showing children the love of Jesus by creating a fun, inviting, safe environment.
We believe that only the power of the gospel can change children, families, neighborhoods, and schools in Tomball and beyond.
What to Expect on Sundays
At Redeemer, we teach every age level Biblical truths through Bible stories, songs, crafts, and games. We encourage our children to memorize scripture, bring their Bibles, and actively participate in the lesson. On Sunday mornings, we offer classes for kids spanning from birth to 6th grade.
9:15am Service Time
We offer classes for Infants-4th grade during this service.
11am Service Time
We offer classes for Infants-Kindergarten during this service, as well as for elementary (a 1st-4th class, and a 5th-6th class).
All parents must check in their children up through 4th grade in on a weekly basis, so please arrive a few minutes prior to the beginning of class time. For assistance, ask any of our RedeemerKids Check In Attendants, usually in a teal T-shirt, at or near the check in table.
Sunday Morning FAQs
What should I bring for my child?
Children from birth to potty training should have a diaper bag or backpack that is clearly labeled. This bag should include plenty of diapers or pull-ups, wipes, weather-appropriate change of clothes, snacks (for children with allergies), sippy cup or bottle that is clearly labeled, and any formula or breast milk that may be needed.
How do I check-in and check-out my child?
Check-in kiosks are at the entrance to the RedeemerKids hallway, in front of the garage door. You will check-in your child on Sunday mornings at the children's ministry kiosks, and your child will receive a nametag unique for that week. You will also receive a unique pick-up ticket which you must show to the teacher when picking up your child. This ensures the most secure environment for your child.
What if my child has special needs?
We are more than willing to do whatever we can to help our children with special needs have a wonderful experience in our children's ministry classes and events. Please contact our RedeemerKids Director for details or with any questions. If your child has an allergy, please include this information as you check your child in the first time, and the information will be printed out on his/her label whenever he/she is checked in.
Our church leadership guards vigilantly against mere moralism when selecting a curriculum for our children's ministry. We strive to preach Christ alone, and prayerfully search for the most Christ-centered, God-glorifying curriculum.
Babies and walkers (birth-2) will be engaged in play and interact with our volunteers with singing songs, reading bible stories and exploring their environment. 2's class will learn the simple, foundational truths of who God is and what Jesus did for them on the cross using Truth78 curriculum,
Children ages 3 through 6th grade are going through The Gospel Story Curriculum, a two-year teaching plan that chronologically presents the redemptive story of Jesus throughout the Bible.
We Partner With Parents
According to the Bible, parents have the primary responsibility for teaching children about God (Deu. 6:6-9). We want to equip parents to pray and plan for the spiritual development of their kids. Therefore, we strive to build good relationships between our teachers and parents, and equip parents with classes, material, and encouragement to build a Christ-centered family.
